What a Weather Forecast Can’t Tell You

A weather forecast can give you the temperature, rain chance, and wind speed, but it can’t tell you everything you need to know. It won’t show you how the humidity feels on your skin, so you might still feel sticky even if the temperature is mild. The forecast can’t predict sudden gusts that can knock over a small umbrella or make a bike ride difficult. It also doesn’t tell you how the smell of rain will change the city’s atmosphere, or how the sound of thunder will affect your mood. Finally, a forecast can’t tell you whether the sky will be clear enough for a perfect sunset photo. So, always be ready for a little surprise and bring extra layers, a hat, or a camera, just in case.
