When the Internet Stops Working on Our Street
Emma: Hey, did you notice the Wi‑Fi went out on Maple Street today? Liam: Yeah, all the cafés were empty. No one could stream music or check messages. Emma: I think the router in the main building must have broken. Without it, the whole block loses connection. Liam: It felt weird walking past the shop windows and seeing nobody scrolling on their phones. Emma: Some people just talked to each other, like old times. I even saw a kid playing a board game on the sidewalk. Liam: I had to call my friend on a landline. It was slower, but at least we could talk. Emma: When the internet is down, we notice how much we rely on it, but it also reminds us to enjoy the real world.
