When the Internet Stops Working on Our Street
Alex: Hey Sam, did you notice the internet went out on Maple Street today? Sam: Yeah, I saw the Wi‑Fi lights blink off. My video call kept freezing. Alex: I think the whole block lost connection. Even the smart lights stopped changing colors. Sam: I had to use my phone’s data to send a text. It felt weird not having instant access. Alex: The coffee shop had no digital menu, so they wrote the prices on a board. Sam: And the kids playing outside stopped using their tablets and started a game of tag. Alex: It reminded me how much we rely on the net for everyday things. Sam: True, but it was also nice to talk face‑to‑face without distractions.
