✍️ Dictation
Listen to a short sentence in Persian and type what you hear. Wrong words are marked at once; everything you got right stays as you wrote it. Free, no account needed.
How it works
- 1Pick an exercise. Each one has 10–12 sentences.
- 2The sentence plays once and stops. You decide when to hear it again, and you can slow it to 0.75× if it goes too fast.
- 3Type what you heard and press Check. Only the wrong words are marked, and a word you left out gets its own box.
- 4Stuck? You can reveal the answer — it is recorded as help, so your score stays honest.
Where to start
A1 and A2 sentences are short and everyday; B1–B2 are longer with clauses; C1 runs at real speaking pace. If you can write more than half the sentences on the first listen, move up a level.
Why dictation works
Dictation is the only exercise that trains listening and writing at the same moment. There is a wide gap between feeling you understood a sentence and being able to write it down word for word — dictation shows you exactly what your ear misses: sounds that run together, unstressed syllables, endings that sound alike.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need an account to practise dictation?
- No. Every exercise works without signing in. An account saves your progress and counts towards your daily streak, but it is not required.
- Are the voices real people?
- The audio is neural speech synthesis. Every sentence is written from scratch; nothing is taken from a film, show or song.
- Do punctuation and capital letters count as mistakes?
- No. Dictation measures listening, and you cannot hear a comma. The check ignores punctuation and letter case.
- If I type one extra or missing word, is everything after it wrong?
- No. Your text is aligned against the correct sentence, so only the word that is actually wrong gets marked and the rest still counts as correct.
