The Forest After a Heavy Rain
When the rain finally stops, the forest looks completely transformed. The ground is slick with puddles that reflect the canopy like tiny mirrors. Fallen leaves are coated in a thin layer of water, making them glisten in the dim light. The air smells fresh and earthy, a mix of wet soil and pine resin. Small streams, previously hidden, now rush over the roots, creating a soft, continuous murmur. Spider webs sparkle with droplets, catching the light and turning into delicate chandeliers. Birds emerge, shaking off raindrops, while insects buzz louder as they dry their wings. The whole scene feels calm yet alive, as if the forest has just taken a deep breath and is ready to continue its daily rhythm.
